7th Annual World Naked Bike Ride Boston - If you haven't heard Saturday, July 9, 2016 is the World Naked Bike Ride. And if you are wondering? It is exactly what it sounds like. Hundreds will bare what they dare and ride through the streets of Boston and Cambridge. This could be a warning too? 

Boozy Brunch with DJ JesseJess at Double Chin - Brunch meets Asian Fusion. Double Chin, a modern Hong Kong Style cafe in Boston's Chinatown will have a live DJ , Bloodys and Mimosas along with some of the most creative brunch items for your dining pleasure.   

Racing and Food Truck Festival at Suffolk Downs - Live racing return to Suffolk Downs this weekend with Food Trucks, Bounce Houses and plenty of fun for the whole family.

Epic Silence Dance Party - A floating dance party is happening in Boston, this Saturday.  Meet up at Fountain outside the Park Street T Stop at 8:45 and dance your way around Boston. ****DUE TO RAIN FORECASTED THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL JULY 23RD. 

JP Porchfest - The 3rd annual Jamaica Plain Porchfest is this Saturday. Celebrate the porch in JP with music, theatre, dance, spoken storytelling and circus arts. 

South End Open Market at INK Block!! - Every Sunday through October Boston has an awesome Open Market with 14 Food Trucks, 20 Farmer's Market 120 Artists and Designers and Sips and Shops brought to you by Boston Calling.

5th Annual Sam Adams Independence Day Bash -   For the fifth year on the 3rd of July Ned Devine's in Faneuil Hall rocks out with a special night of live music and of course Sam Adams Brew. 

 Fourth-A-JuLuau at Bukowskis Tavern -  Bukowskis in Cambridge’s Inman Square will host a luau-themed celebration in honor of our nation’s fiftieth state. Grass Skirts coconut bras and the Hawaiian Luau Burger + more. An event not to miss.  

 Coppersmith CountryFest -  On July 3rd, Coppersmith will host the first annual “Coppersmith CountryFest,” an all-day party featuring live country music, a special barbecue menu, a cornhole tournament and a mechanical bull that will be onsite from 12pm-4pm for those brave enough to hop on for a ride. Country 102.5FM will be onsite with prizes and giveaways that include tickets to the sold out Kenny Chesney show on August 26th at Gillette Stadium.

Memorial Day Weekend around Boston

Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start to summer, the weather is forecast as HOT!! Here's my @bostonattitude picks on what to do this weekend. I hope get out and enjoy it!! 


Boston Calling -  Boston's city hall plaza turns in to a music festival venue this weekend with three days featuring some of the area's most talented bands and local comedy. 

Lightsaber Battle - A massive glowing sword battle in Boston Common to Benefit Make-A-Wish Massachusetts & Rhode Island hosted by the Cats in Space Tour

37,000 American Flags placed on Boston Common by the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund. #NeverForget

Live Music and Cider at Lookout Farms - Enjoy the sounds of Eric Salt & The Electric City at the Lookout Farm tap room along with some awesome local ciders.

North End Festivals - This weekend August 7 -9   Madonna Della Cava Feast - Food & Entertainment all weekend long in the streets of the North End.

MFA First Fridays - Enjoy Fine Art, Music, Signature Cocktails, Tapas  and good vibes at the MFA Boston. 21+ with positive I.D. from 6 -9:30 pm 

SoWa First Fridays - Over 60 artists open up their studios for public viewing in the SoWa Artist Guild.  Check out the local restaurants and small bushiness of the SoWa district on the first Friday of the Month.

ICA First Fridays - White Hot, the ICA White party with oysters, tunes by DJ Frank White, and samples of UFO White for ICA memenbers.  

Saturday

PorchFest at Lawn on D -  Boston's favorite outdoor space will be hosting a full day of local music, food and beverages. PorchFEST is a national moved encouraging local musicians to perform on front porches one day per year.

Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival - Every Saturday through August 29, enjoy a free family-friendly film under the stars at the Shops at the Prudential Center South Garden 

Sunday

Riverside BBQ series #4 - Here's your last chance to get out and enjoy this summer series. This is a pop-up BBQ, music festival and beer fest wrapped up in to one.

Here's What Not To Miss Around Boston In August 2015

It's seem like just last week the last of the snow melted in Boston (OK, it was just last week) but never the less August is here and summer is going fast.

If you haven't been enjoying it, it time to kick things in to high gear and get out and do something fun. Here's my @bostonattitude picks for August. Because before you know it will be Allston Christmas and summer will be over. 


July 31 -  August 2 - Boston Comic Con with special guest co-creator of Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man and the X-men Stan Lee . The event is  happening  for three days at the  Seaport World Trade Center. 

August 2 - The 4th Annual Boston Seafood Festival. Get you tickets for a full day of Seafood at Boston's historic Fish Pier. The event has everything from Food Trucks, Seafood Demos, Oyster Shuck Offs, and YES plenty fresh local seafood to enjoy. 

August 3 - FREE Hood Ice Cream Sandwiches - Hood is giving away 10,000 FREE Ice Cream Sandwiches for National Ice Cream Sandwich Day

August 8 -  PorchFEST at the Lawn on D - Get over to Boston's favorite outdoor space for a day of local music. PorchFEST is a national moved encouraging local musicians to perform on front porches one day per year. 

August 10 - The Brass Union Pairing Series with Aeronuat Brewing Co. Two of Somerville's best come together on the patio of Brass Union for a savory four-course dinner paired with local brews

August 12 - Boston Battle of the Burger  - The 4th annual Boston Battle of the Burger with the top 30 local chefs battling out on this amazing grill off. 

August 15 - Brew at the Zoo - The sixth annual event that brings you and  the zoo animals together for a night of sipping local  brews with the residents of the Franklin Park Zoo

August 16 - Super Fan Brunch - Back Bay Harry's is hosting a Golden Girls Brunch. This 3-course brunch honoring Blanch, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia has two seating at 11:30am  & 1:30pm. 

August 16 -21 and again 23 - 28 - Dine Out Boston -  Twice a year participating restaurants around Boston will have special lunch and dinner menus available for Dine Out Boston. It's time to try someplace new, Lunch $15/$20/$25  |  Dinner $28/$33/$38 

August 18 - East Coast vs West Coast Punk Rock Brew Tour 2015 Battle of the Beers - Head over to "The Indo" in Somerville for music, beer and a birthday party!! 

August 18 - Team Impact Invades Lawn on D -  Team Impact is taking over the Lawn on D for Team IMPACT Summer Fest 2015. Team IMPACT young professional board who's mission is to improve the quality of life for children facing life threatening and chronic illness. 

August 19 -  The Rum Rumble  at the Boston Seaport Hotel -  It's all going down in august the Rum Rumble where Bostons best bartenders/mixologist will gather at the Seaport World Trade Center to compete for best rum cocktail using Papa's Pilar Rum

August 28 - 30 - The 96th Annual Saint Anthony's Feast  - Better know as "the Feast of Feasts"  For three days in Boston's Historic North End enjoy music, games, and lots of food. Samples street foods from 100 pushcarts with sausage, peppers & onions, quahogs,calamari, pizza and of course zeppole, cannoli and gelato.  


The Swan Boat story dates back to the 1870's, they are one of many thing that make Boston a special place to visit. Everyone should take a little trip around the Boston Public Garden.

Celebrate the Kentucky Derby - May 2 - at Darryl's Corner Bar   Oak Long Bar or  Drink 

Somerville Open Studios - May 2 & 3 Local artists will open their homes and yard to display local art.  

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather - The Fight everyone has wanted to see - May 2 at McGreevys for the  Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight, $25 at the door first come first serve.  

32nd annual Harvard Square MayFair -  Noon -6p  - the annual spring time tradition features three stages of music, dance troupes, local food, crafts, a chalk art gallery, street art and entertainment for the whole family.

Cinco de Mayo - May 5th for you gringo's who have no clue.  It's like St. Patrick's Day only Mexican. Everyone gets in on it and with lots of Tequila drinking.  If margaritas are your thing, Check out my 5 places around Boston to have one. 

Boston Bike Party - "Let's be Twinsies" - May 8 - find a bike buddy or 2 or 3 or 4 and double your pleasure and fun. Celebrate the Bike Party turning 2 with a  "Let's be Twinsies" ride.

Brass Union host Bully Boy Distillers Dinner - May 13th  is "Brass Pairings" Brass Union will team up with the local Roxbury based Bully Boy Distillers for a four-plus-course dinner. 

Seaport Sangria Smackdown- May 13  - For $20 per person, guests will enjoy sangria tastings and light hors d’oeuvres; they are encouraged to vote for their favorite sangria, with one restaurant being crowned the Seaport Sangria Smackdown Champion! 8th annual Paws 4 A Cure walk - May 17 - Join the 8th Annual Paws 4 A Cure Walk on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The mission of Paws 4 A Cure is to provide financial assistance to qualified families throughout the United States who cannot afford veterinary care for their beloved furry family members without our help.

Taste of Boston - May 28 - Faneuil Hall Marketplace - Samples the food and flavors that make Boston Wicked Awesome along with some local brew by Sam Adams all to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank.  

The 8th annual American Craft Beer Fest - May 29 & 30 - Three sessions to sample 640+ beers from 140+ American brewers. Tickets are going fast, they always do. Don't sit and wait on this one.  Tickets 


Events you can't afford to miss this April around Boston!!

Well here we are, it's April and after the longest, coldest record breaking winter in Boston history, we have some warmer weather and the snow is just about all gone. Here's my events you can't afford to miss this April list.


 

April 5 - The Tasting room at SIP Wine Bar Easter Brunch pop-up featuring Chef Josh Lewin and Katrina Jazayeri’s of Bread & Salt Hospitality. 

April 11Verizon Destination Store ‘Grand Opening’ on Boston’s Boylston Street to Feature Appearances by Donnie Wahlberg and Jack & Jack!! I hope to see you at this event!! 

April 12 - The 13th annual Taste of South Boston. Who's who in South Boston eateries are on the list. Sample them all with live entertainment, silent auction, beer & wine tasting and a full cash bar. 

April 12 - The Boston Lamb Jam - an epic tasting event and competition that brings together 20  of the top chefs from around New England for the honor being named Lamb Jam Boston Champion.

April 13 -Opening Day at Fenway Park - It's a Boston Tradition, Nothing says spring in Boston like the words "Play Ball" Here's the Boston Red Sox 2015 Schedule 

April 15 - One Boston Day a day of remembrance of the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings. This year, Mayor Walsh has declared the day One Boston Day and asks everyone to participate by performing a random act of kindness. What will you do? 

April 17 & 18 - The Boston Beer Summit - It's Marathon weekend and if you're not running you are probably drinking "They run, we drink" Why not sample the best beers from 57 breweries 

April 17 - 20 - Muppet Madness at the Brattle Theatre - Celebrate the Muppets with all the Muppet classics and a sing a long. 

April 20 - Marathon Monday - Maybe you're running maybe you're watching. It's the only event where a million people take the day off to watch other work. April 20 - Greg Hill Foundation Marathon Party - It's the party to be seen at on Marathon Monday, Enjoy the finish line excitement at the Capitol Grill where your beer of choice that day is Samuel Adams 26.2  

April 21  - Get your shine on at the Lorettas last call Moonshine tasting. Sample 4 moonshines with some light appetizers.  

April 23- Foundry at Elm hosts Peak Organic Beer - The staff is pouring the Peak Organic line with cocktail specials and beer flights. Beers (Espresso Amber, Ginger Saison, Oak Aged Mocha Stout ** My Favorite, Fresh Cut Draught)  

April 24 -25 - Wine Riot 2015 -  You  and 250 glasses of wine from across the globe to "taste" and enjoy. Hosted at the Castle at Park Plaza. 




Eat like a Shark Week Returns to the Revere Hotel Roof Top

Celebrate the Discovery Channel's 27th annual Shark Week

Join the Revere Hotel for a week-long celebration that will include a limited-time specialty Eat Like a Shark & Drink Like a Fish menu at Boston's Best Rooftop Lounge 


Eat Like a Shark Week menu:   

  • Mahi mahi tacos (pineapple cabbage slaw, mango salsa, 13 for two,)    

  • Seared Tuna Tostado’s (mango salsa, 13)

  • Salmon roll (shallot dressing, pickled onion, 15

  • Oysters on the Half Shell (pickled watermelon and lime, 4 each.) 

Sharable fish bowl cocktails:

  • The Sand Shark (Bombay Sapphire, St. Germaine, peach puree, lemon, splash of Sprite,) 

  • The Tiger Shark (Grey Goose Orange, Chambord, lemon, simple syrup, splash of Prosecco,) and the much anticipated return of the summer sensation that is
