Nothing says July 4th more than waving an American Flag to the sounds of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart, playing the now classic Independence Day rendition of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with real Cannons and Live Church Bell on the banks of the Charles River. Then capped off with the American Flag Drop and one of the County's best Firework displays.

As a native Bostonian I am always looking for fun things to do in the and around the City. I recently went down to the Charles River one Sunday afternoon and saw so many activity's to do I thought I would share a few with you. 

Community Boating Inc.

Have you tried sailing with the nation's oldest, continuously running public sailing center yet? Check out the Community Boating on the Charles. They have programs for everyone, adults and youth alike. Take a look at the event calender and check them out this summer. 

Charles River Canoe & Kayak 

Rent a Canoe or Kayak, or Paddle Board or even take a Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Class SUP YOGA!! Yes I said Paddle Board Yoga. Now that is Yoga on the Water!!

In Boston you know the end of summer brings the "Feast of All Feasts"  Saint Anthony's Feast. Located in Boston's Historic North End, This year the 95th annual Feast is Happening  August 29-31, 2014.
